The absorbingly cinematic A Day At The Speedway is an observational documentary depicting a single day at a small racetrack in the Catskill Mountains, near the site of the original Woodstock Music Festival. Much like in a Bruegel painting, a tableau of ordinary life revolves around an important community event—in this case, the race.
